Food & Drinks

We obviously specialize in gear and getting you outfitted for your mountain adventure but also realize skiing/ biking is merely a vehicle to get you to your apres spot! Food and drinks always taste much better after a day on the mountain! Park City is well known as a world class winter and summer destination and the dining options are also nothing short of world class too!  After a long day on the slopes, all you want is some great food and maybe a few libations to wash down the goodness!  Here are some of our favorite places to go!

Yuki Yama

There are about 6 or so sushi restaurants here in Park City and with that being said, Yuki Yama is one of our favorites.  You won’t be disappointing with whatever you order….make sure to check out the Executive roll….it is really good!

HIgh West

The world's only ski-in-stumble-out whiskey distillery is located right here under the Town Lift on Park Ave.  Here you will find some of the best cocktails and also, in our opinion, the BEST burger in town!  Their entire menu is great with small plates like deviled eggs, and big plates like the burger mentioned above (and pictured below) and the Chicken Schnitzel (pictured below)!  The Grillswith is also a must with grilled Krispy Kreme donuts, topped with vanilla ice cream and whiskey caramel glaze!  The only negative with High West is they don't take reservations so lunch is a good option or be prepared for a little wait for dinner.  A fun way to experience High West is to ski down the town runs for lunch and take the Town Lift back up to access the mountain!  They also serve Sunday brunch at the Bluesky location out in Wanship.

Blind Dog

Blind dog has been around in Park City for a long time. Located over in Prospector and off main, it’s one of the best in town, especially if you want to avoid Main Street. The bar area is great for a more casual feel or sit in the dinning room if you’re feeling a little classier! They have a full sushi bar as well as tasty dishes from the main kitchen.

St. Regis at Deer Valley

J & G Grill is world famous and the food speaks for itself.  The St. Regis has deep history dating back to 1934 relating to the Bloody Mar, or Red Snapper, and every St. Regis has their signature version of the drink.  The 7452 (pictured below) is one of the best saluting Park City's mining history and elevation of the hotel.  Their other cocktails are fantastic to compliment their food.   If you are skiing Deer Valley, this is a great way to end your ski day and also enjoy the Champagne Saber ritual every day around 6:30!

Riverhorse ON Main

The Riverhorse has been around, what seems like forever.  It is always consistent with their staples of Potstickers and the Macadamia Nut Crusted Halibut (pictured below).  The wild game trio is always a home run!  They have a great balcony and live music many nights during the winter.  Book your reservations in advance as they do fill up quickly.  Call 435-649-3536, try booking at www.opentable.com or go to their website at www.riverhorseparkcity.com.

Davanza's

A local's favorite that won't break the bank!  Accesable via the town runs off Park City, Davanza's is a great way to grab lunch if you are skiing on the Park City side.

Some More tO check out

There are really too many great places to list here.  Here are some more of our favorite places to go.

Freshies

Who knew the best lobster roll in the country was in Park City? We did! Freshies is fantastic for lobster rolls, lobster mac ‘n cheese and more!  It is located in Prospector.

El Chubasco

Chubbies as the locals call it, El Chubasco was the best Mexican in town, and some of the least expensive.  It has slipped a little bit with new ownership but still worth checking out. You order at the counter and grab a number.  Sometimes it's challenging to find a table but things usually work out.  The Pastor burrito smothered rojo is really good and the salsa bar is one of the best north of the border.   It is located in Prospector.

Chimayo

With it's southwestern flare on wild game and other dishes, Chimayo is one of the more unique dining experiences in town.  The ribs are out of control, as are the trout fajitas and the elk medallions.  The margaritas aren't too bad either!  reservations are highly recommended.

Handle

With mostly small plates, Handle is fun with a small group.  The dishes are tasty but you do need a few if you are a big eater!  It is located on Swede Alley.

Versante

Versante is located at the Peaks Hotel and has quickly become a local favorite. Great pizza, great salads, cool vibe!

Maxwell's East Coast Eatery

Located at Kimbal Junction, Maxwell's is New York style pizza, authentic Philly Cheese steaks and other favorites from back east.  Parking is usually easy and a great place to catch a game.

Bandana's

It's basically Ruth's Chris breakfast and lunch place that is located in the Hotel Park City.  It is some of the best breakfast in town and on the lunch menu, the lobster grilled cheese is redonkulous!  It is so good!  The service is usually questionable but in the summer, bring your putter and you can putt on the back putting green of the Park City Municipal Golf course while you wait for your food!

Pig Pen

Located at the base of PCMR near the ice rink, its a great spot to end your day. They have good drinks, and the Pig-a-licious burger is awesome! On warmer days, they have a great deck where you can watch and heckle the skiers in their lessons.

Drinking in Utah

Many myths and misconceptions are out there about drinking alcohol in the state of Utah.  Usually, it's the drunkest person in the bar complaining about how they can’t get a drink in Utah.  Here's the truth...it's not a problem to find a drink and Utah just changed the laws where our beer is now like your beer! The grocery stores can now sell up to 5%ABV beer and you can buy beer 24 hours a day and 7 days a week in Park City!  You can buy wine, full strength beer and spirits at any liquor store (there are 3 in Park City) any day but holidays and Sunday's.  You can buy High West spirits 7 days a week at their gift shop.

When you are out on the town, you can order liquor, beer and wine from many different restaurants.  If you are into martinis, you will be disappointed with a drink bought at a bar or restaurant as the the amount of liquor per drink is metered so a martini will look smaller.  The best martini will be at your condo.  If you are into really heavy alcohol content beers, you will need to purchase at the liquor store and they are only available in bottles both at the liquor store and bars and restaurants.   All draft beer is 3.2%.

With all that being said, here are some of our favorite watering holes.  Most are 21 and older so if you have kids, be aware, unlike other states, no one under 21 is allowed in bars.

No Name Saloon

Right smack dab in the middle of Main Street, the No Name has a great outside upper deck that is open year round, great bar food like buffalo burgers and chicken wings, and just a great mountain town vibe in the bar.

Boneyard

Located off Main Street, this is a great place to get some burgers, wings or pizzas and watch a game if you don't want to deal with the parking or city bus getting to Main Street.

High West

As mentioned above, they have many drinks using their own spirits but try the Dead Man's boots!

St. Regis

Their Bloody Mary is the best, but the ginger margaritas, spicy passion fruit bourbon and all of their drinks are fantastic!  Just be careful, they are so good you will keep ordering and they are not cheap!

Corner Store

Located at the main base are of Park City Mountatn, the Corner Store proudly serves 24oz PBR and has some great chickern wings to go with!  Perfect for apres skiing!

Grab 'N Go Breakfast

Breakfast is a little strange in this town, but there are few notable places and also some great weekend brunches.  For quicker grab and go breakfast, there's:

 Wasatch Bagel

Located over by the Park City Market and liquor store.  They have bagels by the dozen, bagel sandwiches and full breakfast options.

Park City Bread and Bagel

Located at Kimball Junction

Bandana's

Located in the west end of the Hotel Park City.  They have quick bagel sandwiches and also offer sit down breakfast.

Sit-down Breakfast:

Roadhouse

The Roadhouse is good.  It is never knock your socks off but is also never bad.  It is the most convenient as it's located right on the corner of Park Ave and Kearns Blvd.

Deer Valley

In the winter, Snow Park Lodge offers a great cafeteria style breakfast before you hit the slopes!

Five Seed

Five Seed has quickly become one of the best breakfast/ brunch spots in town!

Harvest

Located near the Town Lift, Harvest is relatively new.  Their slogan is coffee, food, people.  It's true! The coffee was great, the food excellent and the company is usually great too!

Brunch

There are a bunch of skier buffets in the winter and brunch spots year round.  St. Regis, Stein Erickson Lodge, and Montage all have great skier and brunch options.  For weekend brunch, check out Maxwell's mentioned above and Red Rock has a decent brunch as well.

Nachos, A Burger & one last stop before your flight!

Nachos are one of those appetizers that are always on the menu, but always seem to be just alright...except for the wagyu nachos at the Montage in Deer Valley and the Tri tip nachos from Bandits on Main Street!  Both are fantastic!

If you are venturing up towards Snowbasin or Powder Mountain, make sure you stop at the Shooting Star Saloon!  It is the oldest bar in Utah and the only bar west of the Mississippi that never closed during Prohibition.  The Star burger is awesome and the staff is always surly.

Before you leave for back home, you might want to carve out an extra hour or so to make a stop at the Red Iguana on North Temple.  it's right on the way to the airport and is easily the best Mexican food west of the Mississippi and north of the border!

Eating on the mountain

Park City

Of course there are lodges all over the mountain.  Most of the lodge food is decent, but expensive.  When you are hungry and want to keep ripping, the lodges will do.  Cloud Dine, and Look Out are good.  The outside grill at the bottom of Tombstone is really good too.  If you are on the Park City side, a fun thing to do is ski down into town and hit High West, Davanza's, Harvest or any of the other restaurants around that area of the base of the Town Lift.

One of the many great things about Deer Valley is all of the food is excellent.  Go to any of the lodges, the turkey chili is great along with anything else.  Then you can visit St. Regis, Stein's, Goldener Hirsch, Montage, just to name a few, and really have your taste buds singing!  A fun way to ski Deer Valley is to lodge hop.  Try skiing to Montage and have the wagyu nachos, then ski down to Stein's or the Hirsch and grab a drink or snack, ski a little longer (or not) and then head to St. Regis for some apres drinks and snacks!
